University of Glasgow joins AIMS-G

The signing ceremony of memorandum of understanding between the University of Glasgow and PalMed Academy was signed on 27th of January 2026 at the University campus. The international Vice Principal, Prof Rachel Sandison represented the University of Glasgow while Dr Riyad Masharqah represented PalMed Academy in the presence of the Head of Medical, Dental and Nursing Education Professor Mathew Walters from the University and Dr Bashier Oudeh from the Academy. “This is a great moment for the international alliance of medical schools for Gaza to have such a prestigious university join the alliance.We will work together to support the recovery of the medical schools in Gaza.” Explained Professor Loubani the Chair of the Academy. The university of Glasgow joins Trinity Collrge Dublin and Utrecht University as founding members of the alliance together with Alazhar University, Islamic University and Palestine University from Gaza.
